Description:
Sweet, fruity-warm. Pale blue/green in colour.

Suggested uses:
Try blending 4 drops of Chamomile and 4 drops of Lavender in 2 teaspoonfuls of Sunflower oil and adding to a cool bath for dry, sensitive skin, to encourage relaxation or ease general aches & pains.

Incorporate a steam facial into your weekly skincare routine. After cleansing, add 2 drops of Chamomile and 1 drop of Geranium to a bowl of just-boiled water, drape a towel across your head and shoulders, lean over the bowl and allow the vapors to penetrate your skin. Pat your face dry and apply a moisturiser.

This oil is pale blue/green in colour. England is the top source for this wonderful, all-round soothing oil and Absolute Aromas has selected an oil of consistently high quality, grown and distilled in the UK.

The small flower heads used are labour-intensive to grow and pick and yield very little essential oil, which explains the high price.

Description:
Delightful, fresh, green, rose-like scent. Clear to light green in colour.

Suggested uses:
Geranium is an excellent balancing and uplifting oil for all-round use and is especially popular with women.  Try blending 1 drop of Geranium with 2 drops of Lavender and 2 drops of Mandarin in a teaspoon of Sweet Almond oil for use as a relaxing, refreshing bath or massage oil.  Alternatively, blend the same oils with two teaspoons of Peach Kernel oil for a special hydrating body moisturiser with a delicious aroma.

In a diffuser or burner, Geranium blends very well with the citrus oils.  It is deodorising, cleansing and uplifting as well as having quite good insect-repellent properties.

After a long haul flight, try blending together 2 drops of Geranium, 1 Drop each of Juniper and Lavender in 10 ml of Peach Kernel; massage in to the ankles to encourage elimination.

Although Geranium Bourbon, which comes from the island of La Réunion (previously known as Île de Bourbon), 500 miles east of Madagascar, is considered to be a superior quality oil, many prefer the lighter more subtle aroma of Egyptian Geranium.  The species is the same, it is the growing conditions which make the difference between the two types.

Fresh, floral, light sweet aroma. Clear to pale yellow in colour.

Suggested uses:
Lavender is the most widely used essential oil in aromatherapy, particularly for its relaxing properties. Try placing two drops on a handkerchief by your pillow when you are trying to sleep.
As Lavender blends very well with many other oils, try the following: 3 drops of Lavender, 3 drops of Mandarin and 1 drop of Geranium in a teaspoon of Sweet Almond oil added to a warm bath before a long, relaxing soak.

This organic oil is extracted from the skin of the fruit using a ‘Pellatrice’ machine.

Description:
Sweet, gentle, tangy aroma. Amber to orange in colour.

Suggested uses:
Mandarin has a sweet, familiar aroma and is considered one of the gentler oils making it popular for use by pregnant women and on children in very low dilutions. After a hard day, try soaking in a bath containing 3 drops of Mandarin, 3 drops of Geranium and 2 drops of Patchouli all blended in a teaspoon of Peach Kernel oil.
If pregnant, a gentle massage of the bump using 1 drop of Mandarin in a teaspoon of Peach Kernel is always pleasant. As with all essential oils, extra care must be taken during pregnancy, particularly during the first trimester. If in doubt, seek medical assistance, or consult a qualified aromatherapist.

Suggested uses:
Tea Tree is highly anti-septic, anti-bacterial, anti-viral and anti-fungal. It is beyond measure as skin cleanser. Try adding 25 drops to a bottle of shower gel for a really cleansing experience. For problem skin, blend 2 drops of Tea Tree in 5ml (a teaspoon) of Jojoba oil – apply twice daily.
Or try a weekly steam facial using 1 drop of Tea Tree with 2 drops of Mandarin in a bowl of just-boiled water. Tea Tree may irritate some sensitive skins and, although a very small amount may be dabbed neat on spots, bites, etc. by most people this is not recommended.
To help keep feet fresh and healthy, try using 2 drops of Tea Tree with 2 drops of Lemon in a foot bath.

To maintain healthy hair for school-children and adults alike, dilute 5 drops of Tea Tree, 3 drops of Geranium and 2 drops of Lavender in 20ml of Coconut oil. Massage into the scalp and leave as long as possible before washing out.
